Tom Scotcher
Tom Scotcher is a Lewes based artist, who draws and paints from direct observation in the landscape. “Small, unplanned moments often inform the work, keeping it alive and responsive. Ultimately, inspiration comes from engaging with the world with attentive, open eyes and a willingness to follow unexpected paths.”
Tom studied at Central Saint Martins, and thereafter at the Royal Drawing School. In 2024, Tom was awarded the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant to produce a body of work for his solo exhibition, ‘Desire Paths’.
Recent selected group exhibitions include: BUCOLIA II, Blue Shop Gallery (London, 2025); Fair Ground, Art at Glyndebourne (Glynde, 2023, 2025); and Portrait Artist of the Year: The Exhibition (Compton Verney, 2022).
Upcoming: Art for Christmas, A Group Show – 29 November - 14 December 2025
