Julian will be leading small personal ‘tours’ of the exhibition, discussing his practice and the story behind each artwork. There will be two available sessions on Wednesday 11th June, 11am and 3pm.

‘Elemental reflects the core of my subject matter: embracing the dynamic forces of nature. I aim to capture its vitality and form, not just as an observational painter, but being within it. Sometimes a cloud can present itself and echo the form of a cliff, or a fleeting shaft of light can illuminate a drawing. These unique happenings experienced through my painting process manifest themselves into my work, but it is the intuitive decision making and moment of resolution that is the surprise.’
